      Nurse Technician Training Class
  Time:     08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
Location: Saint Francis Hospital - 61st & Yale - Various Classrooms


  Completion of this class in addition to New Employee Orientation and Patient Care Services Orientation will give the student the skills needed to work at Saint Francis Health System as a Nurse Technician. If you are currently an employee for Saint Francis Health System, please fill out a Transfer Request form and send this to Human Resources.

If you are not an employee for Saint Francis Health System, please go to www.saintfrancis.com. Select Career opportunities. Select Saint Francis Hospital. Select Nursing Support. Click Search. If Saint Francis Health System is hiring for this class, select Nurse Tech Training class. This class is offered four times each year.

This class starts on April 20 - May 6, 2016.

To qualify for the class you must be hired by Human Resources.


 
      Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  Time:     08:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Location: Saint Francis Hospital - 61st & Yale - Classroom across from NICU 2


  The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is designed for health care personnel whose daily occupation demands proficiency in the knowledge and skills needed for the resuscitation of the newborn.

The standards for the NRP Provider course are based on the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations.

The course is intended to be taught to Pediatricians, Family Practitioners, Emergency Physicians, Obstetricians, Nurses and Respiratory Therapist.

The NRP Online Examination, 6th Edition is required to be completed prior to participation in the NRP skills and simulation review and testing. A copy of (or photography of the copy) of the NRP Online Examination completion certificate must be presented to the instructor the day of the skills testing.

Employees who enroll in this class, will be assigned the NRP Online Examination via eLearning three weeks prior to the skills testing. Please attempt to access and take the test, as soon as possible. In the past there has been difficulty accessing the test. If you have difficulty, notify the NICU educator as soon as possible. That will give plenty of time to reset the test if necessary.

      ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support Training - Day 2

  This course is designed to teach the lifesaving skills required to be a team member / leader in either an in-hospital or out-of-hospital cardiac arrest setting.

This is a 2 day course.

***If self-assessment / pretest is not completed with a minimum score of 70% prior to the day of class the student will need to reschedule the class and will be charged a late cancellation fee***

Prerequisites:

1. Self-assessment / pretest minimum score 70% is required
Must be completed prior to the day of class
Verification presented at the registration desk
2. Current BLS Healthcare Provider card, bring verification
3. ECG rhythm identification

This program has been approved by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) for 14.25 Contact Hours, Synergy CERP Category A 10 contact hours, Synergy CERP Category B 1.25 contact hours, Synergy CERP Category C 3 contact hours. File #19308

Non-Employee: $250.00 (includes book & card)
